Casio F-91W (Fiction)

There once was a man named Gerald Fitch Casio. He was a man like no other. (He might have been like a few other people in the world but this is my story!) He had an insane hobby in watches. He remembers the day when he got his very first watch. His grandad gave it to him that had been passed down from generations and he still wore it to this very day. Nobody knows how a watch over 200 years old still has life and is still in mint condition! He had collected watches over the years but he felt that he had knowledge missing about them. He studied the mechanisms, has tests and loads of other things. Experiments, test runs, digital, analogue you name it! He had done it all! But he still felt he didn’t find what he wanted until one particular Saturday at 10:41am, he snapped, he knew what was missing, he was going to make his very own… watch company!

He instantly began creating watches and thought he might go with his surname for the company, Casio! Just like his good mate, Alexander Albie Fiddlestick Slander, the creator of the Puma S shoes, he thought to go simple and make his company by his name instead of thinking of some self-important ‘Gerald The Great’ for his company name. He got started and designed and designed and designed until he couldn’t design anymore. He was so happy with his first product. And he named it the Casio (his surname) F (that stands for Fitch) -91 (because that was his favourite number) W (the W stands for wonderful)! The Casio F-91W was the coolest and probably the only thing he had ever made. It was a digital watch that could tell the time (including seconds), the date, had a stopwatch and you could set alarms! Plus, you didn’t have to link it to a device, you could just change the time with a few buttons. And his favourite colour was the original strap colour, a vivid, powerful bright orange.

This product sold quickly. A not so pricey thing to buy that lasted up to 7 years from new! It was an amazing water resistant want-to-have-with-you-24/7 kind of product. Gerald was the watch producer of the future!
